The Moment of Inertia I = mr²

This is a concept that states that rotation becomes more difficult in proportion to the distance from center
⇒This means that if bags are the rotating body which has our body as the axis, the bag will shake less the closer it gets to our body
i=Moment of Inertia, m=mass, r=radius
Easy to rotate ≒ When your body rotates, the bag moves in sync with your body with less force
This is a formula that will minimize how much bags shake by carrying them closer to our body when compared with ordinary tote bags.
Pythagorean Theorem Fs² = Fl² - Ft²

About the Pythagorean theorem.
This theroum states that the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares on the other two sides

the formula states that the force pressured on shoulder (Fs) would be reduced as the weight of a bag (Fl) is pulled outward from body trunk (Ft)
About FIXTOTE

1) reduces unnecessary centrifugal force generated from the bag and minimizing the bag's shaking by fixing the bag to body.
2) reduces the load moment, which twists the center axis, by placing the bag close to torso (center axis of body)

3) vertical load pressure on the shoulder is reduced by fixing the tote bag to the torso with a special strap.

The two formulae on the logo are the formulae of the physical effects of FIXTOTE on the body. The desgn of our logo is inspired by the Newton’s law of Motion.

Stress relief
The reduction effect below is recognized better by Prof.Maruyama of The National Tokyo Institute of Technology liberal arts research and education laboratory, in comparison to wearing an ordinary tote bag on the shoulder
Relief from bearing heavy loads.
It is proven that the load imposed on a shoulder when standing and walking is reduced by fixing the bag on the back with a strap. The reduction when standing is 41.1% with size M and 35.0% with size S. That of when walking is 25.5% with size M and 26.1% with size S


Relief from shaking.
It is proven that the shaking of bags when walking is reduced by fixing the bag to the back with a strap. The shaking is reduced 69.5% with size M and 61.9% with S size compare to ordinal tote bag without strap as 100%


Relief from walking awkwardly.
Unnecessary stress on the body caused by walking unnaturally is reduced with the bag fixed to the back with a strap as the weight load imposed on the shoulder is dispersed and the shaking of the bag is reduced.

With our patented strap, we can fix the bag to the body so the stress of the bag sliding down becomes negligible when walking and cycling, unlike an ordinary bag which can slip from your shoulder. Also, the hole on the supporting point of the handle of the bag enables us to adjust the size and supporting point for both summer and winter fashion.

STORY
It all started with a certain incident in 2011

It was when I was cycling down a hill with a tote bag on my shoulder on the way back to home from work. Suddenly the tote bag sled down from my shoulder and got stuck on the front wheel of my bicycle, I fell over and hit my back so hard. It was a painful experience.

I liked the fashion and ease of use of an ordinary tote bag but I stopped using them because of this experience. However, I also did not like using backpacks which take effort to take my stuff out, nor messenger bags or shoulder bags which I can not put my books and documents in.

Since then, I thought of the idea of developing a tote bag that can be fixed to our back.

I came up with an idea of the ‘fixable tote bag’ which lets us use both of our hands and cycle safely by fixing it on our body with strap with this tote bag's original design.

When I wore the prototype, I did not feel tired unlike an ordinary tote bag. I realized that I felt more comfortable by fixing the bag on my body.

We came up with FIXTOTE after eight years of the try and error with the advice of an associate professor of ergonomics

He researched biotechnology in the university study and joined Daiichi-Engei ltd. He completed his MBA and led a marketing projects of a new product and an enterprise development at Misumi ltd. He Joined Mr.Marketing ltd as one of the starting member and currently a board member.
